I suspect you're thinking of Colpo Grosso, the European strip gameshow once featured one Playboy Late Night.

There was also a strip game show on Playboy TV called Everything Goes, except exerything didn't go. Contestents got to keep their thongs on no matter how badly they lost. They would have one male and one female face off. There was a host (Kip something) abd a panel of three celebrities. I'm pretty sure the recently deceased Pat McCormick made frequent appearances. The host would ask a question of someone on the panel and the contestents either agreed or disagreed with the answer given. If they were right they got to pose their opponent anyway they wanted and take off an article of the opponents clothing. If the were wrong then the opponent got to take off an article of their clothing. Usually it didn't matter if the guy lost and the girl was left with some clothes on, because the celebrities would come over and strip the girls of their remaining clothes (except for the thong for some reason). There was one case where a hot brunette won, and afterwards when the celebrities tried to get her top off she resisited to the point that they actually gave up. That was disappointing. Then not long after that Playboy TV showed a movie called Bad Girls IV, and right there was the hot brunette. I found out her name was Lauren Wilde. She also went by the name Tina RossI wasn't easy but I was able to track down her other appearances (this was before the internet after all). It turned out she was a porn actress. She also appeared in a Ribald Classic on Playboy TV were a doctor would give these two sisters a potion to put them to sleep then have sex with them. She was a very uninhibited girl, so I don't know why she resisted when the celebrities tried to pull her top off.

She completely disappeared from Playboy TV and porn videos right after that. I wondered why, because she was one of the hottest brunettes I had ever seen. I looked her up on the internet about 5 years ago to discovery that she had died 1984 at the age of 19. The IMDb doesn't list a cause of death but I think I remember reading it was a motorcycle accident.

Based on the timing she probably had all ready passed on when I first saw her.

Celebrity Sleuth ran a profile on Tammy Parks in which she claims to have worked on a strip gameshow called "Shoes Don't Count". I've never found any more info on this, though.

I remember Everything Goes well.

You're right Chip it was stand-up comic Kip Addota who hosted the show in the early 80s. His claim to fame was being roughed up once in a bar by Rosanne Barr after whispering lewd things in her ear. I've met him a few times and he's kind of an a-hole.

Some of the shows I have on tape feature celeb guests Jaye P. Morgon, Richard Belzer and Tim Thomerson in addition to the late Pat M.

Another facet of the show was a trio of lovelies who would bare their boobs or butts behind a wall with cut out holes. The guy had to match the body parts with the correct girl (the girls were first brought out clothed).

Porn stars were frequently present. I've seen Linda Shaw and Crystal Breeze as contestants and Mindy Rae and Sheri St. Clair as "cut out" girls.

I vaguely remember "Shoes Don't Count" as being part of at least one episode of "Really Naked Truth". They played it in between the hidden camera sequences as a kind of filler. Can't remember much else about it.

Hey Immy,

Also I remember one with Ginger Lynn Allen (who just went by Ginger Lynn as a porn star) That was the first time I ever saw her. I think she won and stripped the guy down to his g-string, but then the celebs made sure Ginger Lynn lost her top, and as the credits rolled and Ginger stood topless on the stage talking to Kip the cameramen made sure they got plenty of shots of her.

Also I think LaWanda Page, who played Aunt Esther on Sanford and Son was a celeb on there.

I remember something like this. Did they have a male contestent and a female contestent and they would ask them questions? If you got the answer your opponent had to take off an article of clothing, but if you got it wrong you had to take off an article of clothing. They would ask the guys really simple questions, like "Who's buried in Grant's tomb?" (The answer is Grant BTW. Groucho Marx asked this question on his show and the contestent couldn't figure out the answer) then they would ask the girls almost impossible questions, like what the chemical symbol was for some esoteric compound. It was all staged and the girls knew the whole idea was to get them naked. Ashley Rhey was one of the females that got stripped through these underhanded means.

I have just about all of the episodes of strip poker on video. I was in high school when they debuted on USA, and I loved it. The perfect mix of tease and please.

Many adult film stars and strippers appeared on the show. Alexandra Silk comes to mind, Tami Hanum once made an appearance, a few sets of twins that I'm sure have done adult modeling, and others that I can't think of right off the bat appeared on the program.

The show was great in concept, but flawed in execution. Definitely worth checking out if they ever put it back in syndication somewhere, but don't go in thinking Playboy level stuff.

(I think a DVD release of the program would rock though. It could show what USA couldn't let the shows go uncut, and I'm sure there are hundreds of scenes that got completely snipped from the program that could be re-inserted.)

Hey ROTY,

I do remember Strip Poker on the USA network. I'm pretty sure this was made for the USA Network so I'm guessing there is no "European version" out there. For our friends out there that aren't sure what Americans mean when they talk about "European versions" basically anytime a scene in a movie looked like it was going to have more nudity and sex then it ended up having rumours start about a "European version" out there somewhere that shows more than the version you saw. In Strip Poker the girls stripped down to bra and panties. I think some girls actually wore thongs, which was nice. But that's as far as it went.

I have one on tape with a girl I could not identify. When I get set up to being able to take screen captures again I want to post jpegs of her and see if anyone can help me identify her. Also Playboy Playmate Elke Jeinsen appeared in one of these.

One last bit of trivia:Did you know the female co-host (who kept her clothes on) posed for a couple of Playboy newsstand specials? Her name was Jennifer Cole and I think she made at least two appearances.

Re: Strip Poker Invitational DVD

I've only seen part of this, so forgive me
if I mis-state something.

No, it really, really isn't.

The girls only get topless. They are playing
real poker, and from what I recall there's
some financial prize as well as avoiding nudity
at stake. As such, the vast majority of the
running time concerns poker, not sexiness.
The show has a kind of leaden seriousness
to it -- they seem to be desperate to push it
as a real, serious poker tournament that
simply happens to involve nudity. There's no
laughter or giggling, no dancing around and
no zany antics.

The women ARE very beautiful, IIRC, in a
high-glamour "Bond girl" kind of way, but I
just found it to be utterly sterile -- and also
slightly demeaning to real female expert
card players.

The one audience that I think might like it
would be people who would be genuinely
interested in a serious poker tournament
without nudity, for whom the nudity would
just be an extra perk.
